Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Vang Vieng, start at the main street (Sakkarine Road) where many cafes and shops are located. Walk north towards the river, crossing the bridge that leads to the other side. Once you cross the bridge, continue walking along the riverbank until you reach the point where the road forks. Take the left path (it should be marked with small signs for trekking). This path will lead you into the lush countryside and should take you about 30-40 minutes to walk. Keep an eye out for the beautiful scenery along the way. You will eventually reach a dirt road; follow this road until you see signs pointing towards ຖ້ຳນອນ ຂີ່ສະລິງ. The entrance to the cave is a short walk from there.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Vang Vieng. Head out from the center towards the main road leading to the north. Follow the road for about 5 kilometers, where you will see signs for ຖ້ຳນອນ ຂີ່ສະລິງ. There may be a slight incline, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. The cave entrance should be accessible just off the main road. Make sure to lock your bicycle at the designated area before heading into the cave.

• Trekking

  Join a guided trekking tour that departs from Vang Vieng. Most tours will take you through the surrounding mountains and to ຖ້ຳນອນ ຂີ່ສະລິງ as part of their itinerary. This is a great option if you're looking for a more immersive experience, as guides will provide you with information about the local flora and fauna. Ensure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry enough water, as the trek can be strenuous.
